Phase II in creating the Superformance Mk3-R: Once the major concept was realized in a full sized prototype, then the minor massaging and tweaking of the design progressed. The clean lines of the uninterrupted scalloped vents looks classy and discreet. SCOF's Randall Thomas sent a simple drawing of what it would look like to add ribbed slats" in the scallop indentations to add flow lines to the design. The factory immediately implemented them and now offer the "R/T" ribs as an option, as well as the color of those ribs, whether that color matches, compliments or contrasts to the main body paint as the buyer desires.
