I graduated HS in '67. One of my friend's dad bought him a 289 Cobra for graduation and I couldn't erase that vision. Fast forward 35 years later, I stopped by a Superformance dealer and spoke with the owner about the car. Since I've never driven one, my wife surprised me with a Xmas present of a trip to Vegas and two days with Racing Adventures. After 160 laps around a 1.7 mile course in an FFR, I decided to stop back at the Superformance dealer when I returned home. Spoke to some owners and took a test drive in a 392 demo car.  Brought my wife back the next day and we ordered a car. On the second motor now and very happy. The builder, S & S of Jamaica, NY is one of the oldest continuously operating speed shops in the country (See "Hotrod", February '09). They go back to the 50's with three generations still working there. Top shelf parts and a great build.  I've been enjoying the car since. I belong to Columbus Circle Cobra Club. It's  a very active club with lots of cruises and shows. Long Island has a very loyal muscle car crowd. In the summer, there's a show almost every night of the week and Sundays too. Plenty of time to spend with real good people.
