My wife Linda was not happy about building my Man Cave in the backyard, so we found this pole barn in a small village 5 miles from the House. It is a work in progress over the last 4 or so years with many things still planned. It started out with OSB bare walls, then plumbed the water well, added a bathroom with hot & cold water, added burglar bars to all doors & windows with a monitored security & fire system. We replaced the forced air gas furnace with IR tube heaters with a wall mounted air conditioner normally running a de-humidifier in the summer. A planned storage loft reverted to a loft lounge with easy chairs and poker table, and 765 license plates for loft ceiling tile ( I'm still accepting cobra vanity plates). I then started painting the OSB board and making it a race track theme, added stereo system, full bar, home theater projector with surround sound and 5x8' screen, added Satellite and another TV with surround sound, then full kitchen with SS gas stove and storage cabinets, separate beer and food fridges. Lots of garage art and race banners, slot machines, roll around pedestal mounted theater seats. The red / yellow and checkerboard theme will be continued on all walls of the main 40x60 bay, while the 40x20 back bay provides storage for the boat and misc stuff, and is the main car access through the rear overhead door. A covered porch out front has rocking chairs and a 6 burner SS grill for burning steaks and such. Lots of entertaining , eating and drinking, some tinkering and polishing on the cars. The Man Cave, it's a fun place where there is always a cold beer, a warm smile , and a Welcoming handshake, come by and see us sometime, and remember, it's not just another place to park, it's a world class destination.
