I always dreamed as a kid of building a Cobra replica, for the challenge and what fun thing to achieve.  In my teens I tinkered around with an old Capri and workshop manual, often learning the hard-way, what not to do mechanically!  Part of the fun for me in owning a car is understanding the way it all works, the design and engineering.  I like to maintain my own cars, and learning the technical aspects enhances car control and going fast.  I kept this as a hobby not a career.  So I was saving funds to build a most fantastic project car, and then Dodge stopped me in my tracks with the launch of their Viper!  My heart was stolen, love at first sight... it took some years of working to afford one, but eventually I became the proud owner of a blue white Viper Coupe in 1998.  Then while running an errand on a motorcycle, I was hit off in a horrific accident, and laid up in hospital for some time.  I did a lot of reading and came across articles comparing a Viper with Peter Brock's Daytona Cobra Coupe design.  I kept the picture beside my bed of the 2 cars, and dreamt about the CSX Coupe and their racing achievements, more so than ever.  I received injuries compensation at about the time it hit the media that Superformance in conjunction with Peter Brock (my hero) were going to be bringing out a Coupe, I could hardly contain my excitement!  It was far too sensible to pay off the Viper loan, and so that's how it all happened for me.  I installed the motor myself, and since then have made all kinds of modifications and upgrades for motorsport to get the most out of my beloved #47 Coupe.  Peter and Gayle have been a great support, and really care passionately about the Coupes and their owners.  A highlight for me was meeting Peter and have him personally sign my car at Goodwood Revival a few years ago.  There's only a handful of Coupes overseas in the UK, and where ever we go, everyone loves the Coupe.
