As a member of the 10+ year club, being a Superformance owner has given us many new friends and experiences that otherwise would not have happened.  The friendships, knowledge sharing, networking is unparalleled.  We have gained many great friends through this group.  As for the cars, they are nothing short of phenomenal.  Yes, each has had their minor issues but with the backing of SPF and this group anything can be solved.

I have always loved the 427sc.  Back in the 90 s we had a 68 427 Corvette with only 18k miles.  We loved the car but didn t drive it as we were concerned about keeping it a Survivor.  So I studied other cars to buy and found Superformance.  Researched the company and cars for about a year and bought #186.   Banana , named by Bill Wells, was yellow and black stripes with 460 565hp Ford Motorsports motor.  The car was great and scary fast.

When the Coupes were conceived we knew there would be one in our garage, eventually.  As I do with every car, we researched the Coupes, talked to many owners and found SPC0136 in Arizona with only 3,000 miles in her.  Billy nicked named her Cherry Popper .   We had the car shipped by our pal Craig Alysworth from Saddlebrock Arizona to Harrison Township in April 2010.  After a few weeks found an installation problem where the ground used was a 20 gauge wire versus battery cable size.  In of itself not a big problem but the failure fried the MAF on the fuel injection and took sometime to diagnose.  Once settled I have gained confidence in the car and Cherry Popper gets a weekly workout.  We love the Coupe and it will be part of our family for ever.
